Rest In Peace Forever, Nate

A loss of words is no surprise

Our best intentions turn to demise

Of course we’re lost with words to say

With how one life could end this way

But gathered still we are as one

To mourn the loss of someone’s son

Share memories when he was a youth

The lie that’s told ended with the truth

And yet so hard it is to face

When all he wanted was to find his place

And still we gather here today

When met by choice he chose to stay

But so have we, we must remember

As he passed on in this November

Yet we live on as now the preacher

From lessons learned as him our teacher

And still we’ll reach for things to say

To comfort those who loose this way

I just know this and that is all

We’re at a loss as it turns fall

But as the winter slowly comes

We’ll toot our horns and beat our drums

And hope he passed though heavens gate

Rest in peace, forever, Nate
